Meredith came to the BW Studio + Events team with a treasure trove of DIY ideas for her Greenhouse Loft Chicago wedding day, but unsure of how to bring them all together cohesively. Desiring a wedding day that felt vibrant yet cohesive, she entrusted us to weave her vision seamlessly into the venue's natural charm. We worked with her to carefully diagram and detail each table setting and space to ensure we were maximizing her DIY efforts but also elevating the beauty of the venue itself. Learn more below!!

Meredith and Bogdan started their wedding day with romantic first looks along the picturesque Chicago Riverwalk in front of the Sheraton Grand Chicago with bright yellow tree leaves as the first signs of fall began to join us in the city. It was a perfect crisp morning, and everyone was in tears before we left the hotel.

The wedding party made their way to Bogdan’s family church in Portage Park via a large party bus. The church was a gorgeous Romanian Orthodox Church with stunning artwork and altar, the space was cozy and filled with love that day. The train on Meredith’s filled the aisle.

After the ceremony, the wedding party and their guests made their way to the Greenhouse Loft in Logan Square. The reception space was a stunning glass box greenhouse on top of a gallery and workspace featuring light wood floors, open white trusses, and exposed ceilings. The rental comes with beautiful wooden tables and white metal chairs, which perfectly accent the space's light fresh color scheme and exuded charm. The couple even had their own private bridal suite to slip away and have some appetizers before joining the crowds again after formal group photos.

Meredith’s design concept of bright turquoise and gold accents with stark ivory detailing matched perfectly against the background of light woods and white furniture. Flowers for Dreams provided adorable bud vases with a beautiful arrangement of lush flowers at each table. Every dinner table had simple table numbers, but also had personalized photographs of the couple throughout their lives. Guests enjoyed walking the space and talking about the couple as they knew them throughout those moments in their lives.

While some tables had clear or mercury votives with turquoise velvet table runners, others were accented with lovely turquoise votive candle holders to bring her color palette throughout the entire space. Simple details like a travel book for guests to sign instead of a blank canvas book made a statement at the welcome table!

The evening unfolded with heartfelt speeches and energetic ethnic dances that kept guests on their feet until the lights dimmed. Meredith and Bogdan's wedding day was a testament to the power of thoughtful details and expert coordination, creating an experience that lingered in the hearts of all who attended.
