She Found Her Main Squeeze | Bridal Shower

Planning a bridal shower is always fun… but when it’s for one of your closest friends, it is extra exciting!

When Blair’s very own bestie Jaclyn let her know she wanted to host her Bridal Shower locally in Chicagoland instead of back home on the East Coast, we knew we had to jump in and help. Both of Jaclyn’s sisters and her mother were far away, and we knew coordinating would be a challenge if there wasn’t someone local to lend a hand. Before you knew it, BW Studio was in full planning mode and we loved it!!

To set the mood, we decided on a fun, colorful theme… “She Found Her Main Squeeze”. But we didn’t want to be too cliché, so we took our own twist on the citrus theme and we’re still obsessed with the final result.

We found a handful of lovely venues to consider, but due to uncertainty with the “covid situation” at the time (it was 2021), we moved the party to a dear friend’s back yard (and then dining room due to rain! - that’s good luck right?). The change of venue to a private home actually gave us more freedom to do what we wanted and not feel like we were in a time crunch for setup and take down. Parking was also easy because it was a quiet neighborhood. All things to consider when planning a Bridal Shower!

Then we sourced the most fantastic caterer, and now friend, Katie from The Gourmet Goddess who put together a wonderful brunch menu for us! Gorgeous sweets from Delish Cakes supplemented Katie’s savory menu. And stunning custom designed cookies from O Dough! Cookie Co. served as both a sweet treat and favor for Jaclyn’s guests to take home. Sandra from Sandra Armenteros Photography captured the entire day from start to finish for us… including some epic setup shots for the BW Studio team.

Group photos… games… and thoughtful gift giving wrapped up the rainy day. But, in spite of the sprinkle and ongoing pandemic, life felt normal for a few moments as we celebrated Jaclyn and her fiancé Matt (not pictured of course, but did get to phone in a question to him during the game portion of the afternoon). And I think we all needed that for a moment!

Congrats again, Jaclyn!! Love you Bunches!!

Stay tuned for her breathtaking wedding at the Rookery in October of 2021 - which we also planned, designed, and coordinated!
