We’re thrilled to announce that this year marks our third time participating in the Chicago Style Weddings Designers’ Challenge, an exciting event where four talented Chicago wedding vendors come together to create stunning wedding designs. The competition brings out the best in us, as each team works hard to craft a fantasy wedding that represents their creativity, vision, and collaborative spirit. It’s always an inspiring challenge to push the boundaries of wedding design and showcase what’s possible when talented minds join forces. 

Our Bold Vision for the 2025 Designers' Challenge

For our 2025 submission, we teamed up with an incredible group of vendors to bring an unforgettable, vibrant vision to life. Our Designers' Challenge team dove deep into a Vivid Reverie of color, texture, and rich historical details, all set against the stunning backdrop of Colvin House. This stunning venue, built in 1909 by architect George Maher, is a true treasure. Its Prairie-style architecture, reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright’s work, provided the perfect canvas for our bold and artistic approach.

Drawing Inspiration from History, Designing for the Future

With Colvin House’s beautiful history as our foundation, we embraced the venue’s unique features, its intricate ornamental columns, statement marble fireplace, and bright stucco walls. The challenge was to blend the past with the present while creating a wedding design that would stand out, not only for its beauty but also for its rich storytelling.

We selected a palette of jewel tones (ruby, amethyst, topaz, and sapphire) intertwined with lush greenery, creating a dramatic yet sophisticated design. From hand-painted stationery to the texture-inspired cake that echoed the venue's ceilings, every detail was carefully curated to resonate with the space’s history while looking forward to a bold future.

The combination of contemporary design with historical touches created an ambiance that felt timeless, unique, and filled with life. The fusion of textures, rich colors, and lush florals truly brought our vision to life. The result? A wedding experience designed to make its own mark in history, just as the venue itself has done for over a century.
